HR Operations, Payroll & Workforce Management Simulation
Participants assume the role of HR professionals supporting a growing organization with 50–100 employees. Teams manage recruitment activities, support performance management processes, handle employee relations matters, ensure compliance with labor regulations, develop HR policies, and contribute to workforce development initiatives while maintaining operational efficiency and employee satisfaction. The simulation reflects real workplace HR environments where professionals must balance employee needs, organizational objectives, compliance obligations, and workforce effectiveness.
Throughout the simulation, participants apply HR principles across recruitment, performance management, compensation awareness, employee relations, compliance monitoring, workplace communication, policy development, and workforce support activities. Teams evaluate HR challenges, recommend practical solutions, develop HR documentation, strengthen employee engagement approaches, and present workforce management recommendations that contribute to organizational productivity, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
Participants also take on the role of a Payroll Manager for a UAE group running WPS, EOSB and leave calculations across several entities. Faced with a snap MOHRE inspection, they reconcile payroll to bank and GL records, recalculate a disputed settlement, and flag every SIF error before resubmission.
The simulation pulls salary structuring, WPS validation, EOSB calculation and audit reconciliation into one live scenario, closing with a short remediation briefing to a mock leadership panel.
Participants evaluate HR processes within their own organizations and identify opportunities to improve recruitment coordination, employee communication, HR documentation, performance management support, compliance monitoring, and workforce administration through structured workflows and intelligent automation approaches. Using HR best practices, governance principles, and operational frameworks, participants assess existing HR activities, identify inefficiencies, and develop improved processes that strengthen operational effectiveness and employee experience.
The sandbox environment enables participants to create structured HR workflows, recruitment support systems, employee onboarding processes, compliance monitoring frameworks, documentation management approaches, and AI-assisted HR operational models. Through practical application, participants strengthen the connection between HR operations, workforce effectiveness, employee engagement, compliance management, and digital transformation while supporting sustainable organizational performance improvement.
Learners also get hands-on time in a simulated SIF file builder and EOSB calculator, practising WPS submission formatting and settlement calculations on realistic payroll data sets, with no risk to a live payroll run.
The sandbox mirrors the real templates closely enough for the practice to transfer directly to the workplace, while built-in checks flag the same errors MOHRE's system would reject on submission.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1
Manage recruitment activities, workforce planning, and structured interviews
2
Handle employee performance discussions, grievances, and routine HR documentation
3
Interpret UAE employment contracts and explain employee end-of-service entitlements
4
Prepare accurate payslips and check salary components against employment records
5
Create and validate Salary Information Files (SIF) for WPS submissions
6
Calculate end-of-service benefits, leave encashment, overtime, and final settlements
7
Maintain payroll records and organize documents required for MOHRE inspections
8
Identify payroll errors, duplicate entries, and unusual payments using audit checks and AI-assisted analysis
