The SHRM-SCP Certification is intended for HR professionals who have worked in strategic HR roles for at least three years. Those with the SHRM-CP credential who have been holding it for three years or longer and are moving into strategic HR roles can also obtain it.
The SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP®), designed for senior-level practitioners, and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP®), geared for early- and mid-career professionals, are the two competency-based SHRM Certifications.
The question format of the SHRM Certification examination is 134 multiple-choice questions. There are 80 stand-alone knowledge-based questions, and 54 are scenario-based situational questions.
The validity of SHRM Certification is 3 years.
The passing score of SHRM Certification is 200.
The exam duration of SHRM Certification is 3 hours 40 minutes.
HR primarily concentrates on day-to-day employee management, whereas SHRM focuses on aligning employee efforts with the company's overarching objectives. Based on individual preference, candidates can choose their preferred certification. From a novice perspective, it is recommended to go for SHRM Certification.
The subjects taught in SHRM Certification are as follows:

1) It covers three behavioral competency clusters: Leadership, Interpersonal, and Business skills
2) The other half of the curriculum is divided among the three HR knowledge domains: People, Organization, and Workplace.
